  I have celiac disease and have always felt confident eating at Udi's since they are a gluten free brand. One would assume that they train their staff to be very diligent at keeping track of their orders since they serve both regular sandwiches and gluten free sandwiches. Last week I had lunch here and ordered a gluten free sandwich. I was brought my lunch and had already eaten half of my sandwich when I realized they brought me salad and I had ordered sweet potato fries. I stopped a waiter and told him and asked if I could get the fries instead. He was very rude and almost insinuated that I was trying to pull a fast one on him or something and said he would have to go and see about that. I watched him walk up to the kitchen and pull my receipt and the he came back to tell me that I was served the wrong sandwich. I asked him if the bread I was given was gluten free to which he replied no and I of course started to panic and told him that I have celiac disease. He apologized, however he didn't seem to understand the seriousness of the situation nor did he seem to really care. Consequently, I was vomiting for nearly 48 hours, the inside of my mouth broke out in ulcers which didn't clear up for 5 days, and I broke out in a horrible itchy rash that is all over my knees and elbows. This was a terrible dining experience and probably my last dining experience at Udi's. I hope that this review encourages you train your staff to be more diligent about their job. There are serious consequences to people who suffer from celiac disease if they are served the wrong food.
